Overview

TikTok has introduced a new feature called Combined Listing that enables merchants to bundle several products for sale, effectively increasing the merchant's Gross Merchandise Volume (GMV).

Modifications are done in the order syncing process between your eCommerce platform, AfterShip Feed, and TikTok Shop to accommodate this new functionality. When synchronizing TikTok Shop (TTS) orders that include combined products to your eCommerce platform, AfterShip Feed will first divide the combined items within the same order into sub-items. Subsequently, it will create orders in the eCommerce system using these sub-items to ensure that the merchant's warehouse or delivery system can accurately fulfill the items upon receiving the order.

Our latest update offers payment method mapping support, allowing you to have precise insights into your TikTok Shop order's payment method within your eCommerce platform. In this article, we'll explain how the payment mapping can be configured in your AfterShip Feed admin and how the payment method is reflected in your order details for Shopify post setup. Set up payment method mapping

Go to Settings > Channel settings in your AfterShip Feed admin
Click Order sync > Payment method mapping under Order sync rules

We offer the order payment method/payment gateway name customization of your Shopify orders.
By default, we will sync payment methods from TikTok Shop to eCommerce stores

When the order payment method is empty, we will use the fallback payment method, which is TikTok payments by default. You can modify the payment gateway name, if need be.

Go to BigCommerce app store and search Feed for TikTok Shop to get the app
Select the app and then click Get This App

Log in to your BigCommerce account, if you haven't already. If you are already logged in, you will be redirected to the Feed for TikTok Shop app listing page.
Click Install

Click Confirm to allow Feed for TikTok Shop access to your store data

Once done, you will be redirected to the onboarding page of our app. Just complete the steps to complete the setup

We provide two methods to prevent the events of overselling.

You can configure the Quantity, which represents a percentage of your eCommerce platform's available inventory, to be synchronized with TikTok Shop and set the Out-of-stock threshold.

Overview

This tutorial will help you understand how the inventory sync works from Shopify to TikTok Shop and if we can select specific warehouse locations for TikTok Shop.

This involves two cases

a. When the order is created on Shopify
b. When the order is created on TikTok but synced to Shopify via AfterShip Feed

AfterShip Feed's Inventory sync feature allows you to set up

Available inventory quantity display
Inventory threshold before the product shows out-of-stock
Specify warehouse location(s) to sync inventory from: specific location or all locations

Result: Once the inventory sync is enabled, the orders created on Shopify store or synced from TikTok Shop to Shopify, AfterShip Feed will automatically trigger inventory synchronization from the specified Shopify location to the default TikTok Shop warehouse/pickup location.

Consequently, the product will be shipped from the warehouse configured in Shopify.

Example: You have several warehouse locations configured in your Shopify store.

For instance, Location A handles orders from the United Kingdom, and Location B handles orders from the United States.

You run a TikTok store in the UK. In this situation, all your TikTok orders will be shipped from Location A when the orders are synced and processed through Shopify

Shopify Transaction Fee for TikTok Shop Orders

Shopify doesn’t charge any transaction fees for your TikTok Shop orders.

As Shopify's official document states:

Third-party transaction fees are charges that apply to each transaction when you use a third-party payment provider to take customer payments. Transaction fees don't apply for POS orders or for manual payment methods, which include cash on delivery (COD), bank deposits, checks, test orders, and draft orders marked as paid or pending. Third-party transaction fees aren't returned to you when you issue an order refund.

All the orders created via AfterShip Feed are paid without being through any third-party payment in Shopify.

According to Shopify's policy, merchants don’t have to pay any transaction fee in Shopify for their TikTok orders.
